New Dunkin’ Donuts Restaurant to Open in Downtown Miami Shores

MIAMI, FLA. (MAR. 24, 2018) Dunkin’ Donuts today announced that it will open a new restaurant in a convenient corner location in Downtown Miami Shores at 9545 NE 2nd Avenue on Monday, March 26, 2018. To mark the grand opening of its newest restaurant in South Florida, it will host a community celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., that will feature family-friendly activities, the distribution of free refillable coffee cups for the first 100 guests, Dunkin’ Donuts frequency cards, as well as delicious food and beverage samples, and more.

On the day of the grand opening, the new restaurant will offer $1 any size coffee special to guests. All proceeds from the $1 coffee special sales will benefit Feeding South Florida and the restaurant franchisee, Chris Mellgren, will match the total amount of funds raised.

Just recently, Dunkin’ Donuts introduced a “simplified menu” as part of an ongoing effort to streamline the chain’s operations, the new restaurant in Miami Shores will keep people running with the brand’s beverage offerings. Menu options will range from high-quality, freshly-brewed Hot and Iced Coffees, Cold Brew and Rainforest Alliance Certified™ Dark Roast, to a Rainforest Alliance Certified™ espresso lineup that includes Americano, Cappuccino, Espresso, and Hot and Iced Lattes and Macchiato. Dunkin’ Donuts also serves a full menu of Premium Hot Teas, Coolatta® frozen beverages, delicious donuts, bakery goods and sandwiches that pair perfectly with the brand’s beverages.

On Saturday, April 7th, Miami Shores dignitaries are expected to be in attendance and celebratory activities will include family-friendly activities ranging from donut decorating, face painting, a balloon artist, to an appearance by Dunkin’ Donuts mascot, Cuppy.

The not-to-be-missed celebration will also feature food and beverage samples, where the first 100 guests will receive a free refillable coffee cup. Guests in attendance will also have the opportunity to receive Dunkin’ Donuts frequency card, where they can can buy 7 coffees and get the 8th one free. Following the grand opening celebration (Sunday, April 8 – Saturday, April 14) the new restaurant will offer $1 any size coffee special to guests.

The restaurant will open from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., seven days a week, and employ approximately 15 to 20 crew members. Guests will be welcomed by the restaurant’s sleek, more stylish design, boasting wood surfaces throughout as well as cream-colored hues with bursts of orange and purple. Pendant lighting overhead will add warmth to the restaurant’s interior along with custom etched glass panels and modern yet comfortable seating and tabletops for guests to enjoy Dunkin’ Donuts’ high-quality coffee beverages in a friendly atmosphere.

The new restaurant will also be equipped with free Wi-Fi, flat-screened TV’s, streaming music, USB outlets, digital menu boards and a high-tech conference room.

With Dunkin’ Donuts’ On-the-Go Mobile Ordering, members of the DD Perks® Rewards Program can order in advance using their mobile phone, speed past the line and go straight to pick up when they get inside the store. Guests can place a mobile order up to 24 hours in advance, then simply confirm via the Dunkin’ Mobile app when they are at the restaurant and ready to pick up their order.
