Miami Marlins And Feeding South Florida Partner For Nutrition Education Kickoff And Food Distribution

WHO: Miami Marlins, Boys & Girls Club of Palm Beach County and Feeding South Florida™, a 2014 Marlins Charity Partner

WHAT: The Marlins and Feeding South Florida are partnering for their fifth food distribution since  December 2013. Over 100 families from the Boys & Girls Club of Palm Beach County will be receiving packages of food.

WHEN: Monday, October 6 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

WHY: In addition to the food distribution, there will also be the launch of the Nutrition Education program. With support from the Miami Marlins, Feeding South Florida is able to bring MyPlate into classrooms and to partner agencies through a program called OrganWise Guys,”which provides interactive anatomy dolls that show the importance of eating healthy foods to fuel the body.
