Marlins Distribute Thanksgiving Dinners to 1,000 Local Families

The Miami Marlins hit a home run in the community, providing Thanksgiving meals to 1,000 local families on Monday, Nov. 25. The 10th annual Miami Marlins Home Plate Meals Thanksgiving Distribution, sponsored by Tito’s Handmade Vodka, featured Marlins CEO Derek Jeter (pictured) teaming with Marlins players Lewis Brinson, Isan Díaz and Miguel Rojas in handing out the items. The Miami Marlins Foundation, in partnership with Feeding South Florida, hosted the event on the West Plaza at Marlins Park, where families received a family Thanksgiving dinner, featuring a turkey and other food items. The Miami Marlins Foundation partnered with more than 50 nonprofit agencies to distribute 1,000 meal vouchers to local underserved families.
