Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Presents Charity Poker Tournament to Benefit Feeding South Florida’s Hurricane Relief Efforts In Association with PokerStars

Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017; Player Party at 6 p.m.; Tournament at 7 p.m.

Hollywood, Fla. (Sept. 22, 2017) – On Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will host a Charity Poker Tournament benefiting Feeding South Florida and its hurricane relief efforts. In partnership with PokerStars, the tournament will raise much needed funds following the recent devastation, and help those affected by Hurricane Irma and other recent storms.

The charity event kicks off with an exclusive player party and silent auction at 6 p.m. prior to the tournament’s start time at 7 p.m. Guests will enjoy live music, cocktails, hors d’ oeuvres and a chance to win more than $50,000 in cash payouts and prizes including a $20,000 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) Main Event Package, as well as more than $15,000 in tournament entries to various Seminole Hard Rock Poker events. Other tournament prizes and auction items include vacation and hotel packages, signed memorabilia and cash totaling more than $10,000.

A $300 buy-in donation reserves a seat for poker and entry to the pre-tournament reception. Players can purchase re-entries back into the tournament if they are eliminated in the first two hours of play. Registration will take place the night of the event at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

Confirmed to participate in the charity tournament are Team PokerStars Pros Jason Mercier, Jeff Gross and Jennifer Shahade. Mercier is himself a South Florida local.

Funds raised from the tournament will go directly to Feeding South Florida’s distribution efforts, ensuring water, meals and other non-food supplies are getting to those most in need of assistance. Families struggling to make ends meet are in need more than ever as some lost everything, including their homes, cars and food.
