Sari Vatske, Feeding South Florida’s Vice President Named 40 Under 40
Paco Vélez, president and CEO of Feeding South Florida™, is pleased to announce that Sari M. Vatske, vice president of Community Relations for the organization, has been selected as one of South Florida Business Journal’s “40 Under 40.” Vatske and her fellow honorees will be celebrated at an awards ceremony held on Aug. 1 2014 at Hyatt Regency Pier 66, located at 2301 SW 17th Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316 at 11:30 a.m.
Each year, South Florida Business Journal honors South Florida’s best and brightest young professionals under the age of 40 for their professional success and community involvement. The awards committee selects recipients based upon career accomplishments and service beyond the workplace. The 2014 awards are sponsored by Comcast Business and FIU College of Business.
“We are very proud of Sari, as she is recognized as a South Florida Business Journal ‘40 under 40,’” said Vélez. “Her efforts leading the Communications, Development, Partner Services and Programs departments directly impact the 949,910 people in South Florida who struggle to put food on the table.” In 2013, Vélez was named one of South Florida Business Journal’s “40 Under 40.”
New York-born Vatske joined Feeding South Florida as director of partner services in 2011 and was promoted to vice president of community relations in June 2013. Vatske holds a Master of Arts in International Relations from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Fla., where she was also a graduate teaching assistant; and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Fla.
Boca Raton-resident Vatske is a huge New York Giants fan, and in her spare time, enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their two large rescue dogs ) from the Broward Humane Society.
