HUNGER ACTION MONTH® | September 1 – 30
September is Hunger Action Month®, a time dedicated to raising awareness of the hunger crisis nationwide. In South Florida, approximately one million individuals face hunger and have no idea where the next meal is coming from. Food should not be an impossible choice. Feeding South Florida® works to make food available and accessible to those who need it most. Join us during Hunger Action Month® to take a stand against hunger by sharing, donating, volunteering, or fundraising.
HUNGER ACTION MONTH® ONLINE AUCTION | September 1 – 30
Feeding South Florida® is hosting an online auction from September 1 – September 30, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. EST to raise funds. Bid on fun and exciting travel packages where you can escape to the high seas or take to the skies thanks to our generous donors, the raffle prizes include a 5-day Carnival/Princess Cruise or Virgin Voyages Cruise, a $500 gift card (Amazon or Visa), 2 – $100 Wawa gas/gift cards, a 2-day Fort Lauderdale hotel stay at Hilton Garden Inn, liquor baskets, and more. Remember just $1 provides 4 meals allowing your auction dollars spent to go a long way to provide critical food assistance.
HUNGER ACTION MATCH | September 1 – 30
During the month of September, Delta Airlines, our Presenting Sponsor, is matching donations up to $25,000. Give today and your donation will be doubled to help families facing hunger. If you’ve been waiting for the right time to give, THIS IS IT. Make your gift by September 30, 2024, to feed twice as many kids, adults and seniors across South Florida. Contribute individually or start a team with your friends, family, or coworkers to inspire even greater impact.
HUNGER RELIEF TOWN HALL | September 6 & 11
We’re excited to invite you to a critical conversation on hunger relief and food insecurity, brought to you in collaboration with Health Choice Network, Feeding South Florida®, Jessie Trice Community Health System, Inc., Broward Community & Family Health Centers Inc, and University of Miami Health System.
Join us in Miami-Dade County (9/6, 11-1) or Broward County (9/11, 1-3) for the Hunger Relief Town Hall, where community leaders, healthcare professionals, and advocates will come together to foster dialogue, share best practices, and help strengthen our South Florida neighbors.

OUTRUN HUNGER 5K PBC | September 21
Walk or run with Feeding South Florida® on Saturday, September 21, at the Outrun Hunger 5K – Palm Bach County. Create a team with your family, friends, and coworkers to raise awareness and funds to address food insecurity and hunger. Food should be an impossible choice.
SHARE FOOD. SHARE JOY. | October 1 – November 22
This Thanksgiving, Feeding South Florida® is preparing for our “Share Food. Share Joy.” Initiative. We would like to provide 7,000 South Florida families with turkeys, sides, and all the fixings. We’re inviting you to join us in providing a bit of joy and hope during the upcoming season. Choose one of the following options:
Donate 1 Turkey with Sides to a Family: $30
Donate 1 Turkey with sides to a family: $50
Donate 4 Turkeys to 4 families: $100
VETERANS DAY LUNCHEON | November 11
Inter Miami CF, Feeding South Florida®, and Publix are partnering to honor our South Florida Veterans. The afternoon includes a chef-prepared menu, live entertainment, and special recognition.
Admission is free for Veterans and 2 additional guests. RSVP is Required by November 6th.
