Feeding South Florida’s School Food Frenzy
What is School Food Frenzy?
Feeding South Florida’s School Food Frenzy is a friendly competition designed to help end hunger in South Florida. Students and schools host Food + Fund Drives, and earn volunteer hours for the chance to win the title of “Ultimate Hunger Champion”! The competition can be among different grades in your school, or between entire neighborhood schools. School Food frenzy is for elementary, middle, and high schools.
The purpose of Feeding South Florida’s School Food Frenzy is to involve kids and teens (YOU!) in our mission to end hunger in South Florida by providing immediate access to nutritious food, lead hunger and poverty advocacy efforts, and transform lives through innovative programming and education.
In South Florida, 1 in 5 children go to bed hungry – that’s 248,080 children who don’t know from where they will get their next meal. Chances are, you go to school with someone who doesn’t eat three meals a day, or may go for a day or two without food.
The good news is that you can help your friends in need of assistance by participating in Feeding South Florida’s School Food Frenzy.
