Communities

Feeding, leading, and strengthening the community requires the collaboration and support of many stakeholders. Feeding South Florida plays a critical role in the food system and therefore must invest in strengthening it. We do so in the following ways.

Partner Agency Capacity‑Building

Feeding South Florida supports more than 300 nonprofit partner agencies including food pantries, soup kitchens, group homes, and more. Ensuring partner agency success is of paramount importance to us. We do this by empowering and equipping our partners to do more.

Food System Infrastructure

Each year in America, roughly 70 billion pounds of good, safe food goes to waste. The loss occurs at every stage of the food production and distribution system. Feeding South Florida has the logistical expertise and strategic relationships necessary to rescue this food before it’s lost, and get it to those in need of assistance.

National + State Associations

Feeding South Florida is a proud member of the Feeding America national network of food banks and a leading member of Feeding Florida, the state association for Feeding America food banks.
