Who We Are

We serve 25% of the state’s food insecure population within South Florida.

For every $1 donated to us, we can provide 4 meals.

Feel confident about your donation. More than 98% of all donations are put back into the communities across Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe Counties.

Our Vision

A hunger-free South Florida in which families have transitioned from dependency to self‑sufficiency.

Our Mission

Feeding South Florida’s mission is to end hunger in South Florida by providing immediate access to nutritious food, leading hunger and poverty advocacy efforts and transforming lives through innovative programming and education.

Core Values

Feeding South Florida is committed to professionalism represented by the following values that guide our mission:

Hunger Does Not Discriminate

Hunger does not discriminate. It knows no race, religion or age. In fact, the faces of hunger may surprise you. Over 60 percent of the 706,000 individuals we serve have at least one working adult in the household. Many families are underemployed, supporting multiple generations, or may have fallen on hard times and need a little help to get by. Watch the video to learn more about what it means to be food insecure.

Who We Serve

No child should ever go to bed hungry. We feed futures by ensuring that kids receive the proper nutrition necessary to thrive in the classroom and fuel their growth and development.

Children

Seniors are the fastest growing population in South Florida. Having worked their entire lives and now living on a fixed income, older adults are in greater need than ever before. We provide food and reduce social isolation through our senior services programs.

Older Adults

More than 68% of those we serve are in households with at least one working adult. Those who work multiple jobs still struggle to make ends meet. Sometimes people just need a little help to get by – that’s where we come in.

Working Poor

Providing for your family as a single parent isn’t easy, especially if you’re a low-income household. With the mounting expenses of parenthood, we ensure that access to nutritious food is one less worry.

Single Parents

Brave and selfless men and women have sacrificed for our county and should have the support necessary to navigate civilian life. We partner with several veterans’ organizations to ensure we give to those who have already given so much to us.

Veterans

We work with shelters, housing authorities, group homes, and partner agencies to ensure South Florida’s homeless population receives meals and other personal items critical to supporting their well‑being.
