Hunger Action Month

Feeding South Florida is part of the Feeding America netwrork and teh largest food bank distribution center in the state of Florida

Hunger Action Month (September) is a Feeding America nationwide campaign to mobilize the public to help raise awareness about the issue of hunger and take action to help end it. The idea is that anyone and everyone can do something to help end hunger in South Florida! Hunger Action Day™, which is the first Thursday in September (this year it will be Thursday, September 4th), is a day where nationwide efforts are focused for greater impact.

Feeding America is a nationwide network of food banks and the largest domestic hunger-relief organization. Inspired by passionate food bank leaders, what began in 2002 as Hunger Action Day grew into a nationwide awareness campaign for the entire month of September in 2008. This year will be the 7th annual Hunger Action Month organized by the Feeding America network and supporters nationwide.
