2020 Feeding South Florida Thanksgiving Food Frenzy

ABOUT FEEDING SOUTH FLORIDA’S THANKGIVING FOOD FRENZY
Feeding South Florida’s Thanksgiving Food Frenzy, scheduled from October 26 – November 6, is designed for any group in the community – from schools and law-firms to restaurants and health care companies, and everyone in between – to help end hunger in South Florida and provide for families during the Thanksgiving holiday.
Points are awarded for every meal provided via food and fund donations, with bonus points available for volunteering and social media promotion and winners highlighted at the end of the year.
WHY YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS
The COVID-19 pandemic has produced an economic crisis unlike anything since the Great Depression. We are seeing elevated need now, and for some, the recovery will take years. 1 in 5 adults and 1 in 4 children in Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe counties may struggle with hunger this year.
As your local food bank and member of the Feeding America network, Feeding South Florida shares the belief that everyone should have reliable access to nutritious food, and we are working hard to ensure that none of our neighbors are hungry.
You can be a part of helping to provide a fellow South Floridian’s next meal this holiday season.
$1 = 9 meals!
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
- Register your group’s participation in the Frenzy, here.
- Start your Virtual Food Drive/ FUNd Drive. You can create a customizable fundraising page, set a meal goal, and spread the word!
- Schedule a Physical Food Drive and donate top needed, non-perishable items to a Feeding South Florida warehouse.
- Promote your participation on social media!
When you register, you’ll receive our Thanksgiving Food Frenzy toolkit that provides step-by-step instructions and ideas on all of the above!

- Every meal provided = 1 point!
- Funds Raised* | $1 = 9 Meals
- Food Donated* | 1.2 LBS = 1 meal
- EARN BONUS POINTS!
- Volunteer*: Total pounds sorted is converted into meals
- Social Media*: Each post mentioning Feeding South Florida is 1 point!
*Must occur between October 26, 2020 – November 6, 2020.

Throughout the year, Feeding South Florida hosts or is the recipient of proceeds from events hosted by community partners who support our mission to to end hunger in South Florida by providing immediate access to nutritious food, leading hunger and poverty advocacy efforts, and transforming lives through innovative programming and education.
Participation in these events, whether it be via business sponsorship or the purchase of individual tickets, not only provides funds to help end hunger, but also shows support and creates awareness for this ever important issue.
