Feeding South Florida® Named Non-Profit Business of the Year by South Florida Business Journal

Pembroke Park, Fla. — April 22, 2016 — Feeding South Florida®, the leading domestic hunger-relief organization in the South Florida region, was awarded the Non-Profit Business of the Year distinction by South Florida Business Journal at the April 21, 2016 Business of the Year dinner awards program. The event took place at the InterContinental Hotel Miami.

The awards recognize organizations that build the South Florida economy through solid business practice, dedication to their community and financial growth. Now in its 19th year, the awards program highlights excellence across all industries in the South Florida region.

Feeding South Florida, celebrating its 35th anniversary of service to Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties in 2016, was awarded based on several factors. These include its innovative practices that allow it to excel as an organization, diversity initiatives, community service and involvement, employee improvement and benefit programs, management background and leadership, workplace environment, strong financial performance and more.
